Can you see leather with your machine?

Good job instructing, Jess! I made it using my domestic machine and my Sailrite Ultrafeed. The hardest part for me was the area around the corners at the handle. Like you mentioned, it is a well-structured bag. I'm calling it my lunch box.

What fabric is this I can't find it anywhere

I honestly thought the sewing machine would be pink. 🩷 I do save all of my boxes until the warranty ends. Sometimes I have to break them down to make room. Congratulations on the 'new' machine. Are you still enjoying this one?

Did you say what kind of thread you use to do this. Cotton, polyester?

this was a little confusing because it did not have a pattern for the Exterior Zipper Flaps, Zipper Facings, and Bag Base. Outer Zipper Pockets, Outer Hidden Pocket, Inner Zipper Pocket or the Inner Slip pocket,. So as much as Emmaline's bag gives you she misses some things. I tried to do it along and here is where I found that pattern parts were not included. Thank you Jess Okaroots for helping me out.

I made this bag up Jess, using faux leather and I strengthened it with HTV 🤙 turned out amazing 😻

With the clear vinyl, you could put rivets through the decorative holes to emphasize the design.

What about cork? ❤

How does one attach the ring to the grommet? For me this bag is a bit small, but if I could put card slots inside the center zip pocket, that could be used as a wallet so more room in the bag.

Thank you so much for this video. I love your teaching videos where you discuss the basic "how to" almost more than watching the ones where you create a bag. You are such a great teacher! I struggle with cutting pattern pieces out on fabric. I pin the paper to the fabric and cut around it with my scissors. But the fabric pieces seem to have stretched or isn't the exact same as the paper. And anything cut on the fold, one side looks good, and the finished cut seems to be larger or sometimes smaller on one side or a bit wonky. Maybe I should use weights instead of pinning them to my woven fabric? It's so frustrating! That’s why I haven’t even tried fussy cutting my materials since I have issues cutting it regularly. Do bag pattern pieces need to be cut on the grainline and you need to true up the straight edges first - like garments need to be? And in bag-making, does it matter if you lift the material up when cutting it? I was recently told that my scissor’s blade needs to stay on the table and not lift it up to cut or lift up the fabric as it won't produce a proper cut..

My fav blue calla pattern is the crocus. I’ve been making it for years. But the pattern is definitely hard to understand. I finally made the clematis in clear vinyl without using instructions since I am a more seasoned sewer. Beginners beware. Thanks for creating and sharing video tutorials. 😊

Thank you so much for the pattern. I could not get a 2 in.² I got a smaller size and then slightly larger. I’d rather do the larger but the whole pattern won’t fit on my sheet of paper. I’m going to try to extend the pieces to what I hope will work. I’m not good at following patterns. I’m more visual and thank you for your tutorial, I also went to my daughters printer and I got the same results. I must be doing something wrong, but I hope to try this out because I really like your purse. Thanks so much.

Hey Jess. I only do leather but I can't stop watching you. Love your style. I've noticed you sometimes use lightweight metal tags on your bags. I have looked for em with no success.
